"DATING ON EARTH" KOREAN MOVIE SYNOPSIS

This time, I will tell about one of my favorite Korean Movie, but I feel like I’m watching Korean drama :0 All DBSK members are here Yoochun, Jaejoong, Changmin, Yunho and Junsu. Just really like full of stars ^_^ so sparkling ….

Yes the title is “Dating on Earth” which telling about one of the third grade high school student “Yoochun” who has just entered his school after he got suspension from the school because he was fighting with several hoodlums who tried to force him giving his money to them. Actually, Yoochun us a nice and friendly boy but he often has difficulty to control his temperamental, and always involved in trouble. Then he often moves to another school.

Yoochun is very popular and as an idol for the girls in his school since he is so handsome. When he arrives in the school, so many girls follow him and he just try to be so friendly to them. In his class, Yoochun is very respected by his friends. Sometimes his popularity makes Yunho the head of the class feels excluded because all his classmates prefer listening to Yoochun than him. But Yunho then be kind to Yoochun since Yoochun never tease him.

Quietly, Yoochun has married his private teacher Hyo Jin who accidentally is being his teacher in his class. They agree to hide their relationship in the school until Yoochun wil get his graduation. Everyhting just run so well, until a new student “Jaejoong” become the third person between Yoochun and Hyo Jin. Jaejoong lives in the street as a bouncher, he never care about his school, oftern play truant and doesn’t care about everything around him and he also has no friends. Hyo Jin as a teacher try to get close to him and she commiserates Jaejoong since she knows that Jaejong has a traumatic in his childhood. He lost his brother who was die in the fire and he was taken to the orphanage and then he was a adopted by a gangster that pay his school fee. But this gangster pushes Jaejoong to be a hoodlum who ask the street vendors for giving him some money rudely. He never want to do that but his foster father will punish him if he doesn’t do that.

Hyun Jin want Jaejoong to consider her as his sister and share his problem to her. Hyun Jin even gives a mobile phone to Jaejoong, Her sincerely attention makes Jaejoong feel more confidence and they both are closer and this makes Yoochun gets jealous. Since feel so upset, Yoochun asks his friends go for having fun in a club and Yoochun also asks Eunjung to date with him. Eunjung tells Yoochun that she loves him and then she kisses Yoochun but Yoochun doesn’t like her and push her. When Yoochun want o leave her, there are several men who annoy her, as usual Yoochun get fighting with that men and helped by Changmin. Hyun Jin is very annoyed because Yoochun got in to a fight again, whereas they have promised to Yoochun’s Mom that Yoochun will do his school well and get into the best university.

In another day, Jaejoong is picked up by a gangster. Hyun Jin accidentally sees it and she tries to prevent it but she gets injured and fainting. Hyun Jin is brought to the hospital by Jaejoong. When knew about what’s happening with his wife Hyun Jin, Yoochun is very jealous but still he can’t tell Jaejoong that HyunJin is his wife and he gets angry to Hyun Jin who endangers herself and they are at loggerheads until the next days.

Hyun Jin sends a massage to Yoochun to meet her in a garden since today is her birthday. She really wants to make up her relationship with her husband in the garden which full of their beautiful memories. Rain start falling down in this night, she sad beause Yoochun hasn’t come yet but suddenly Yoochun comes and brings a birthday cake. He hugs Hyun Jin and they are in tender-hearted again.

In the morning, HyunJin and Yoochun are having a chat in their garden, meanwhile Jaejoong who has fallen in love with Hyun Jin comes while holding beautiful flowers. He wants to give the flowers to Hyun Jin as a birthday gift but he stop in front of the fence and he is so surprised and sad seeing HyunJin and Yoochun wearing couple dress and looks so intimate. He drops the flowers and his heart is broken … he runs crying in he rain.

A few days later, Hyun Jin is anxious since Jaejoong doesn’t attend the class. Jaejoong is brought by the gangster’s boss. When Hyun Jin calls Jaejoong, the boss tells her that he will kill Jaejoong if she doesn’t come. HyunJin rushed off to Jaejoong. Junsu who know about it tells to Yoochun and he also follows Hyun Jin. Yoochun and Jaejoong are getting in to fight with the gangsters. And when they are in the worst situation, all the classmates lead by Yunho are coming to help them and the gangsters lost.

In the next day, Yoochun meets Jaejoong privately on the school roof. Jaejoong says that he is ready to be hit because he endangered HyunJin. Yoochun doesn’t hit him, he doesn’t want to be punished by HyunJin teacher. Jaejoong smiles and tell him that he knows that HyunJin is not only a teacher for Yoochun but also Yoochun’s wife. And they are finally be a friend.

Meanwhile, HyunJin is reproved by the headmaster because involved in a fighting. HyunJin resign from the school. Yoochun try to stop her. He runs in the school radio room and talk with the speaker to HyunJin who are walking out of the school. He says that as a teacher HyunJin has done her best and he’s so sorry as a student also as a husband always made a trouble to her and he loves her so much.

All the girls in the school get shock and all the boys who are HyunJin fans get broken heart. Yoochun runs to the school yard and he finds HyunJin stands up and feels so touch with what he has said. Yoochun hugs HyunJin and they are kissing. HAPPY ENDING!!

My Sassy Girl Chun Hyang is Kdrama which tells about the marriage of two young man and woman that happen accidentally. The story begins in Namwon city where Lee Mon Ryong lives. He is the son of a famous police chief who is moved to study in Namwon High School since he always makes many troubles. He likes fighting with his friends and play truant from his class. Without being known, Mong Ryong meets Chun Hyang in a garden. He want to take Chun Hyang picture and accidentally, Chun Hyang ruins his hand phone and they have to change their phone each others. And they are at the same school evidently.

Every time Mong Ryong meets Chun Hyang, he always bothers her until finally Chun Hyang gets sick because she falls in to the swimming pool caused by Mong Ryong. Feels guilty, Mong Ryong visit her and accidentally drinks a bottle of wine which he thought it was a bottle of juice. He was drank and falls a sleep beside Chun Hyang. How surprised she was when she sees Mong Ryong sleeps beside her. Chun Hyang’s Mother also sees that Mong Ryong sleeps beside Chun Hyang and she thought that might be something happen between them last night and Mong Ryong’s parents also have the same thing and they are very surprised when they thought that Mong Ryong did something ashamed.

Mong Ryong and Chun Hyang are pushed to get married for keeping their family name but Mong Ryong and Chun Hyang try to refuse it in various ways. Unfortunately all the ways they’re doing are useless, nothing works. At last they get married and they decide to continuo their school though they have got married. On the other hand, Mong Ryong still adores his senior Chaerin and Chun Hyang as well who is loved by Byun Hak Doo, the owner of famous entertainment company who is rich and good looking.

As time goes by, their romantic feeling is growing deeply and they are agree to held a weeding reception. Everything don’t run so well as they wish because there are so many obstacles they have to pass, specially from Chaerin and Byuk Hak Doo who set a trap for Mong Ryong pushing him entered in the jail. Byuk Hak Doo will let Mong Ryong out of the jail under the condition, Chun Hyang has to go with him to Japan and divorce her marriage. And just to let her beloved Mong Ryong free, Chun Hyang divorced her marriage with Mong Ryong and complies what Director Byun Hak Doo’s desire. But before the plane which will fly to Japan takes off, Chun Hyang run away. She decides to live by herself without Byun Hak Doo and Mong Ryong.

Time flies, Chun Hyang is living as a director of accessories company in Busan. Mong Ryong has become a prosecutor and he keep thinking that Chun Hyang is still in Japan with Director Byu Hak Doo and finally he knows that Chun Hyang didn’t go to Japan. He and Byun Director keep on searching where she is now. Byun Director find Chun Hyang, when she is attending her close friend marriage furtively. He ask Chun Hyang to come back with him but she refuses and threatened to go abroad. Mong Ryong also at last finds Chun Hyang. And he is starting to investigate the case libelous him and made him separate from Chu Hyang.

Byun Director finally realizes that not all he wants will come to his feet. In a press conference, Byun Director admit what he has done and let Chun Hyang and Mong Ryong live together happily as a romantic couple. And HAPPY ENDING ^_^

Does your favorite actor is Lee Jun Ki? Then you should not miss to watch Iljimae Korean Drama. The story is almost like Robin Hood, a hero who become a thief for the poor people. But Iljimae has another purpose beside helping the poor people. He want to investigate the reason of his father’s death.

His father was a good nobleman and a loyal supporter to the emperor. He became the witness who saw some people were killing his father when was 8 years. He changed his real name “Lee Geom” to “Yong”. Swe Dol become his father since he adopted him as his son. He is rescued him from the killer by bringing cupboard where Geum used to hide.

Yong grew up as a civilian market but finally he has his own life purpose being a thief to find his father’s murder and also to help poor people. The people call him “Iljime” a black maskes thief who steals from the corrupt government officials and share it to the poor people.

This is a heroic story but also have a romantic touch scene. Yong has someone he loves whose name is Eun Chae. She is the step sister of Shi Hoo his rival but actually Shi Hoo is his brother. Yes, it’s complicated story, I try to tell you the outline only. But, you will see how charm and talented Lee Jun Ki as Iljime, you should enjoy yourself. Actually, Shi Hoo loves Eun Chae since they were child, he always try to protect her.

In the last episode, finally Iljime found the one who manipulated his father’s death “The King”. His father is the King’s brother, he killed him because he didn’t want to lose his throne. But Iljime couldn’t kill the king, he just pulls him to kneel down in front of his father grave. And Chun, the king’s bodyguard slashing his back with his sword and Iljime gets bad injured. On his way to leave Iljime, Chun meets Shi Hoo who has realized that he is also the son of Iljime’s father and Shi Hoo kills Chun.

In my opinion, this story is Happy Ending Story because Iljime actually is alive. If you remind the first episode where Iljime try to enter the palace to steal something valuable for the poor people, there is flash back scene to Iljime’s past. And in the last episode after Chun slash his sword to Iljime’s back, four years later the scene is back to the beginning where Iljime want to steal in the palace. So, this story is telling about Iljime’s past when finally he found his father’s murder and his brother Shi Hoo.

“My Girl” is a popular drama from South Korean TV series that ran for 16 episodes in 2006. This is the story of Joo Yourin and Seol Gong Chan who are pretending to be cousins and this is start from the lie.

Joo Yoo-rin as a father who always drunk and crazy of gambling, but Yoo-rin is a tough girl and she is also very good at giving up in looking at the opportunities that may appear in front of her. Yoo rin can speaks Chinese and Japanese fluently, her job is a tour guide. In one scene she help Gong Chan to be a translator of the guest from Gong Chan’s hotel.

And this all what ever people call “lie opportunity” offer by Gong Chan since his grand father who are sick and dying ask him to find his lost cousin. Gong Chan ask Yoo rin to pretend being his cousin and she also have to live in the same house with Gong Chan family.

So the two go on pretending they are interrelated. As time goes by it becomes much more complicated to follow, especially when both of them have a romantic feelings for one another. There’s another couple that get involved. Jung-woo who is a free-loving person, and Gong-chan’s past sweetheart, Se-hyun, a famous Korean sports star. Jung Woo is also Gong Chan’s best friend who loves Yoo rin but he just keep seeing Yoo rin think and tell about Gong Chan. Jung-woo gets quite frustrated by Yu-rin who keeps escaping from him, While Se-hyun keeps thinking of her past sweetheart, Gong-chan and can’t seem to let him go though she realize that Gong Chan heart is not hers now, he has loved another girl Yoo rin.

Se-Hyun tries many ways to broke Gong Chan and Yoo rin relationship, until Gong Chan grand father knows the truth that Yoo rin is not his grand daughter. He cast out Yoo rin from his house by smoothly way. He send Yoo rin out of the city while Gong Chan is doing his job across the island.

But then, several years later they meet each other. This because Gong Chan never stop looking for her existence. Gong Chan finally find her when she guides some guests. They ask forgiveness to Gong Chan’s grand father and finally HAPPY ENDING, the grand father forgive them not only because they ask but also because Jung Woo and Se Hyun who beg him to let Yoo rin and Gong Chan together.

Witch Yoo Hee Synopsis

"WITCH YOO HEE" KOREAN DRAMA

Yoo Hee is a business woman who works as an executive in an advertising company. She is cold and seldom showing her smile. Black dresses are her favorite cloths. She looks very unfriendly and always gives everyone her critics. She is such a killer manager for her workers. They all are afraid of Ma Yoo Hee but when their boss is not around, they start talking about her. Her bad temper makes her called “witch” by most of people in her company.

Yoo Hee hasn’t got a boyfriend, it hard for her to be a lover. She often has so many blind dates but always failed before the romantic feeling going too far. Most of her blind dates partners leave her when they start talking with her. Yoo Hee is really a woman who can’t express herself.

In another time, Yoo Hee has a date with Chae Mu Ryong (Jae Hee). Mu Ryong is a chef who is offered some money by his best friend to pretend to be someone and go to a blind date with Yoo Hee. At the first time, Mu Ryong refuses it because he has a girlfriend. But at last, he agrees to have a blind date with Yoo Hee. When he meets Yoo Hee and has a conversation, at the end of the date, he falls a sleep. Yoo Hee gets mad and through a glass of water on his face. He is shock and irritated and tells her to keep her behavior when she has another date next.

An accident happens when Mu Ryong is delivering some foods from his father’s Chinese restaurant. He hits Yoo Hee’s car. Yoo Hee asks some money to Mu Ryong to fix up her car damage. Unfortunately, Mu Ryong has no money but he said that he will work for her to pay it. No matter what kind of jobs, he will receive it. Yoo Hee decides to let him to work for her as a house keeper.

Meanwhile, Seung Mi (Mu Ryong’s girl friend) works in an international restaurant where Jonny Kruger becomes a new head chef. Jonny is Mu Ryong’s idol chef but he is also Yoo Hee’s friend. And another man Yoo Joon Ha who is Yoo Hee’s first love has come back from his studying in abroad. Yoo Joon Ha is a doctor.

Since he is working as a house keeper in Yoo Hee’s house, Mu Ryong realize that Yoo Hee goes on rejecting by her blind dates. In one of her conversation with Yoo Hee which is telling about Yoo Hee’s bad luck blind dates, Yoo Hee challenges him how to change her and fix her love life and if he succeeds she will forget about his debt and Mu Ryong agrees.

He starts his program to change Yoo Hee’s appearance and her behaviors to become a real woman. He gives her the instructions what should she wear, how should she smile and be polite to everyone, etc. Yoo Hee asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend until she has found his lover. He agrees but thinks again Johnny could be a possible candidate.

Seung Mi finally has known that her boyfriend Mo Ryung is living in Yoo Hee’s house as a house keeper and she starts jealous. And Yoo Hee also still loves her first love Joon Ha and she has a special relationship with him. Mo Ryung knows about a secret between Yoo Hee’s father and Joon Ha, and he tells the secret to Yoo Hee. When her feeling is growing deeper to Joon Ha, she realizes that Joon Ha is just like what has been told by Mo Ryong. Joon Ha and his father made a deal that if Joon Ha stops seeing his daughter, he would send and finance him to abroad for studying. Joon Ha doesn’t love Yoo Hee sincerely because he only needs her father and his financial gains from the relationship. Yoo Hee leaves him and runs away with Mo Ryung who also has broken his engagement with Seung Mi since he realizes that the one he loves is Yoo Hee.

Yoo Hee’s father has known about the relationship between his daughter and Mo Ryong. He doesn’t like it and always tries to separate them in wily ways. Joon Ha gets an accident when he received a call from Yoo Hee who told him that she has already known his lie. His hand was hurt and Yoo Hee feels responsible and guilty. She leaves Mo Ryong and back to Joon Ha side. Another lie made by Joon Ha again. He pretends that his hand still in pain which in fact his hand is fine.

Yoo Hee then saw Joon Haa who was ready to do a surgery and she saw that his hand is fine. She catches him and her father lie together to make her to stay far away from Mo Ryong. She leaves her father but her father gets a heart attack and she chooses to stay though Johnny has called her and told her that he and Mo Ryong will go abroad.

Meanwhile Mo Ryong and Johnny is at the airport, hoping that Yoo Hee will come. And yes, Yoo Hee really comes because when her father has waken up, he said that she can leave as he feels so embarrass by what he have done. Joon Ha at last gives up and let Yoo Hee catches her love Mo Ryong, he escorts her to the airport to meet Mo Ryong. At the airport Yoo Hee meets him who canceled his departure because of his love to Yoo Hee and they are hugging and kissing each other. And, as what I wish … the story is happy end ^_^ I love it :)

BARON BEACH YOGYAKARTA-INDONESIA

VISITING BARON BEACH FOR REFRESHING

It was fun when I could visit Baron beach. As I was born in a coastal city, beach is very familiar for me. Baron Beach is located about 80 km south of Yogyakarta, Java Island, Indonesia. The road is curvaceous and it takes about 1 hours to get there.

When I set my feet on the sands, immediately my carsick and fatigue has gone. The gold sands in Baron beach could bewitch me …. Woooow it’s such a wonderful beach. On the right and left side, there are two green hills where several stalls are selling their foods and drinks. Some visitors climbed up the ladder to reach the hills, just for enjoying the scenery while eating snack and drinking coconut ice.

Baron beach has an underground river that can be used for bathing for the visitors who has just been playing in the beach. Many fisherman boats are laying on the sands waiting for beautiful sunset and the exact time for the fisherman to get them catching fishes in the sea. When we are hungry, it’s not hard to find fresh fishes in Baron, because some people are selling fresh fishes and they can also cook the fishes for us. We can choose the fresh fishes, squid, prawn, crabs or another seafood as we want by our self.

You will not be dissapointed when you see the beautiful sea scenery in Baron beach. Tired enough to get there because the roadsway but it will be dessapear quickly whenever you arrived there. Fresh air, no polution, clean beach and the best seafood I ever had.

“YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL” KOREAN DRAMA

Have you seen this Korean Drama ? if you haven’t seen it yet, you should try to watch this Kdrama. 'You’re Beautiful' also known as 'You’re Handsome' or 'Minami Shineyo' in Korean. It has been aired in Indonesian local TV for twice, may be it’s because so many people really like this Kdrama, me too of course. You’re beautiful is a 16 episodes romantic and comedy TV series. I was so addicted to this Kdrama and I have watched it more than twice, such a cool TV series. Jang Geun Suk, Park Shin Hye, Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Hongki looks so talented actors and actress. You will see Park Shin Hye acts as twins “Go Minan (Male)” and “Go Minyu (Female). She dressed up like a boy and disguises herself as her twin brother. Pretty weird but it’s quite interesting, let me tell you the summary of You’re Beautiful.

There is the most popular idol band group A.N.Jell who is looking for a new member. Their CEO music company has choosen one beautiful boy Go Mi Nam who has an angelic voice to join A.N.Jell group as a new member. Hwang Tae Kyung as the leader of A.N.Jell doesn’t look so happy until he listen to Go Mi Nam’s angelic voice who actually Go Mi Nyu, the sister of Go Mi Nam who is disguising as Go Mi Nam.

This masquerade begin when Go Mi Nam’s manager goes to the country where Go Mi Nyu stays in a church as a nun. He has to ask Go Mi Nyu to take Go Mi Nam place since Go Mi Nam is still in overseas for medical reason. He said that Go Mi Nyu must help her brother not loosing a chance to become a star, at least until her brother comes back and recovers. Finally Manager Ma (Go Mi Nam’s manager) succeed in persuading Go Mi Nyu to disguise as her brother Go Mi Nam.

She become a girl who act as a boy and she has to live with 3 good looking members of the band. For a bout 1 month, Go Mi Nyu have to play as her brother Go Mi Nam and stays at the same house with the other A.N.Jell members, Hwang Tae Kyung (played by Jang Geun Suk), Kang Shin Woo (played by Jung Yong Hwa) and Jeremy (played by Lee Hongki). Her relationship with Tae Kyung is not good enough initially, Tae Kyung doesn’t like her, he feels that he always gets bad luck when he is near Go Mi Nam. Until one day, just by accident, Tae Kyung hears about the conversation between Go Mi Nam and her make up stylist (Manager Ma’s friend who also knows that Go Mi Nam is a girl), and he finally knows that Go Mi Nam is a girl.

But actually the first member who know that Go Mi Nam is a girl at once is Kang Shin Woo but he said nothing until he fell in love with her and taking it his responsibility to protect her at all times. Jeremy also felt that he is falling in love for Go Mi Nam even though he doesn't know yet that he's a girl. And the leader Hwang Tae Kyung that everyone fears finally found in his heart that he's longing for this trouble maker at all times.

Hwang Tae Kyung is falling in love with Go Mi Nam though he didn’t realize initially. But his love is always hindered by Yoo Hye Yi who loves Hwang Tae Kyung. She does various things to conquer Hwang Tae Kyung’s heart but it’s all useless since Tae Kyung never interested to her. There is another conflict in this Kdrama, it’s about the relationship between Hwang Tae Kyung and his mother Mo Hwa Ran, a famous singer who confess that she is still single and she doesn’t have any son. Mo Hwa Ran hated Hwang Tae Kyung when he was a child because she thought the birth of her son made her loosing the man she loves Go Jae Hyun who is finally known as Go Mi Nam’s father and he has passed away.

I love this drama, one of my favorite. This Korean Drama's title is "The First Shop of Coffee Bean Prince " and the story is about a girl who looks like a man, her name is Go Eun Chan Chan (Yoon Eun Hye). She must work hard to support her mother and her sister finding more money for their life. She can do anything like become a milkman who deliver some milk in houses in the morning and she is also sewing many doll’s eyes in the night. Those activities, make her grow up as a tomboyish girl.

She involuntarily met Han Kyul (Gong Yoo), a handsome and rich man who has just returned to Korea after finishing his study in abroad. It all started when Han Kyul misunderstood and accused Eun Chan conspiring with a pickpocket to steal Han Kyul’s girl friend. Certainly Eun Chan did not accept Han Kyul accusation and she went to the hotel where Han Kyul stayed the night and she asked the compensation for her bike which was damaged by Han Kyul. When Han Kyul saw Eun Chan who looks like a guy, suddenly he got the idea to manipulate Eun Chan to pretend being his girlfriend, then he would have an accuse to disagree with a match set by his grandmother. In this case, Han Kyul did not know that Eun Chan actually is a girl because her "chest" is very flat.

Eun Chan finally agreed pretending to be Han Kyul’s boyfriend, since she needed much money. When the couple day came, Eun Chan was wearing a man’s dress and she went with Han Kyul to meet the girl who were made a match with Han Kyul. That girl was so angry as she thought Han Kyul is gay. At a different times, since Eun Chan often delivered a bottle of milk to a customer who later known as Han Kyul's cousin. He is a music producer Choi Han Seong who was broken-hearted because the girl he loves left him for another man, and his cousin Han Kyul silently also fall in love with her for about 9 years.

Seeing this, Han Kyul's grandmother finally told him to manage a cafe that has been bankrupt and give him a time limit of 3 months to make it rise again as a famous cafe. Han Kyul finally asked Eun Chan to help him managing the cafe and he was also helped by some friends. Since all employees are "male" then the cafe was named 'Coffee Prince' Finally Coffee Prince was running well, and the relationship between Han Kyul and Eun Chan was getting closer.

Han Kyul slowly was interested in Eun Chan, he falls in love with Eun Chan. He was so confused, and frustrated, he thought he falls in love with a guy ‘Eun Chan’. He was detaining his feeling and he also went to the psychologist because he was having inner conflict, he thought that he had a sexual disorder because he liked Eun Chan as a guy. Actually, Go Eun Chan also has the same feeling. She falls in love with Han Kyul but she just hold it, she didn’t want her identity known as she still need to work in coffee to get some money for her family. Only the manager who know that she is a woman.

Han Kyul couldn’t stand with this situation and he eventually avoided not to meet Eun Chan by not coming to the cafe for a while but it only made him in suffer because he couldn’t forget Eun Chan. Han Kyul really couldn’t stand detaining his feeling and on one night when the other employees had gone home he was reckless kissing Eun Chan and he said that he did not care about anything right now, because he could not stand what his feeling to Eun Chan.

The next day Eun Chan promised herself that she would tell her real identity to Han Kyul and she hoped Han Kyul would understand and accept all her explanation. But Han Kyul was very angry and very disappointed because he felt he had been lied by Eun Chan and asked Eun Chan to resign from the Coffee Prince. Eun Chan tried to explain that she didn’t mean to lie to him. She explained the reason why were all happen, and she also assisted by another café employees who took part in persuading Han Kyul forgiving Eun Chan. And finally, Han Kyul forgave Eun Chan and they became a couple like most of people who are dating.

Some of these include the beautiful sands of HwajinpoBeach, nostalgic Abai Village, and a small closed elementary school set in the countryside.

This Korean drama tells about Jun-seo (Song Seung-heon) and Eun-seo (Song Hye-kyo) were growing up happily as brother and sister until the results of a blood test turned their lives upside-down. The blood test, brought on by injury in a car accident, revealed that Eun-seo had been switched at birth with another girl. When this was finally known, she then chose to live with her birth family and several months later Jun-seo's family went to the United States.

They had decided to go on one last trip together when they realized that their feelings of love couldn't be denied, turning there trip into an escape from their family and former loves. Their family against their love and said it is forbidden. Jun-Seo and Eun-Seo didn’t want to make the people they loved feel sad and they didn’t want to live with guilt feeling, and once again they decided to split up.

Eun-seo returned to Tae-seok, and decided not to tell Jun-seo that she was suffering from cancer. As her condition worsens, Jun-seo knew all about the secret that Eun-seo has been keeping her disease from him and ran to her bedside. Seeing the condition of Eun-Seo who would live no longer, their family let them living together as a couple. Jun-Seo brought Eun-Seo to his art studio and stayed together there. One day, Eun-Seo asked Jun-Seo to the beach where they visited in their childhood. And in this place Eun-Seo passed away. Jun-seo carried for Eun-seo who was on his back while she took her last breath.

This drama is sad ending, I knew it before decided to watch it. But I don’t know why, even I don’t like sad ending story, I have watched it more than once. May be because the story is so dramatic and romantic. This sad ending Korean Drama is also interesting, don’t miss to watch it.

Princess hours is Kdrama which tells about the story of an ordinary girl who eventually become just like a Cinderella story. She is Princess Shin Chae-kyeong, starred by Yoon Eun Hye. Beforehand, she was just an ordinary high school girl. She was a cheerful girl and a bit naughty but she is nice. At her school there is a modern prince (I say like that because actually the kingdom in this story is only a symbol of a history and not the holder of power. In this story, Korea is led by a president). The Prince is very handsome and has become an idol for every girl and his name is Lee Shin, starred by Joo Ji Hoon.

This Cinderella story begins when Chae Kyeong’s grandfather and Lee Shin's grandfather's (the late the King before Lee Shin's father) made an agreement, they promised each other to match their grandchildren. Both grandfathers promised to wed their grandchildren that are Lee Shin and Chae Kyeong when they has grown up.

Lee Shin actually already has a girlfriend Min Hyo-Rin. She is also studies at the same school with him and Chae kyeong. They have been dating for a long time but when Lee Shin ask Hyo Rin to get married, she refused. And Lee Shin's proposal which is rejected by accident heard also by Chae kyeong.

Lee Shin has a cousin who is also handsome and clever, he is Lee Yul. Later, Lee Yul will be a rival of Lee Shin since he is falling in love with Chae kyeong. So the story is just like a rectangular love.

Chae Kyeong and Lee Shin eventually get married even though without having love feeling. And as the wife of crown prince, chae kyeong required to live in the palace and learn everything about royal etiquette. But gradually Chae Kyeong falls in love with Lee Shin and Lee Shin unwittingly also have the same feelings.

There will an interesting storyline between Lee Shin and Chae Kyeong. You can find comedy, sad and romantic scene which may make you laugh, cry and flutter your heart. How hard Lee Shin express his feelings to Chae Kyeong and how Chae kyeong fights to get Lee Shin heart and to be recognized as a princess.

The story is very interesting which packaged in 24 episodes. I am sure you will not be bored. I recommend this Kdrama because ultimately Lee Shin and Chae kyeong live happily together and Happy Ending. As I said before, I like the happy ending story.

When you are on traveling to Bali or Lombok by bus or private car, you shouldn’t miss to visit Watu Dodol Beach. This beach is located on the north side of Banyuwangi before Ketapang Port. So, if you wanna reach this beach, you should take north lane (Jalur Pantura). There is a very big stone between the beach and the road.

Why do Banyuwangi people called it “Watu Dodol” ? my father told me the story, but I think it’s just a tale. This is the story from my father: Reputedly, this big stone came from the vendible of Kyai Semar that fallen down in that place. Semar is one of character in Javanese Puppet Show. While the rice spilled out and became the sands around Watu Dodol beach. People say, Semar tool was moringa wood, thrown and pierced in the sidelines of the big stone which called Watu Dodol.

But this is really strange because there is a Moringa tree grown up fertilely in the sideline of that big stone. As I know, for Banyuwangi people moringa is a weapon to cure and relieve from mystical influence like black magic that may attack. By using moringa, Banyuwangi people believe, it will disappear and fade.

Watu Dodol is very beautiful, you can see Bali Island, from the beach. There is fresh water which lays near the beach just like a little river. This water is not salty even though the tight come and the water mix with the sea water (which is salty), no salty taste in this water. You should prove it yourself by visiting Watu Dodol.

THE BEST KOREAN DRAMA NAGISA’S VERSION

I have watched many Korean Dramas. For me, I prefer watching Korean Drama which has a happy ending story. I don’t like sad ending :p

TV stations in my country always shows “Sinetron” everyday. It's almost the same with Korean Drama but with the odd episodes. I choose Korean Drama not Sinetron, why? Well, I feel that Korean Drama’s stories are more romantic than Sinetron, because I like romantic story though sometime it seems won’t happen in the real world. I am having fun with K-Drama, it could release my tired after all days drowning in my job. I am Kdrama addicted, sometime I sleep late at night when so curious about the next story.

Various music types which are expanding around the world. Indonesian music devotees could know the growth of music around the world.

South Korea, comes by carrying their music which called “Kpop”. Music and dance become the important part in K-Pop. They can move in R&B, Hip Hop or balad songs which are very attractive for the young people in Indonesia. K-pop fever is increasing swiftly in Indonesia. In such a short time, some boyband / girlband from Korea become Indonesian Idol nowdays. Everyone must know about Super Junior, SHINee, Wonder Girls, SNSD, FT Island, CN Blue and 2PM who had just made a concert in Jakarta. K-pop fanatic fans are greater and greater every year in Indonesia and they are now showing their fanatic without any ashamed. They’re proud because they are K-pop fans.

Most of Indonesian K-pop devotees are from youngster, this may be caused by the growth of technology like Internet which has brought social media (Facebook, twitter, youtube). Beside that, the biggest K-Pop fascination are their good songs, beautiful / handsome dancer and their incredible and wonderful stage effect. The music tempo is so Asian style that makes Indonesia easily enough to accept the K-Pop rhythm.

You know the glimpse of K-Pop in Indonesia ? well, there are soooo many boyband/girlband pop out. Some of them have their style but many of them are just like Korean Pop singers. Yes, it’s interesting for me though many people pouting to them. I think Indonesian Music is so colorful these days. I am the fans of K-Pop specially JYJ but I also love Indonesian Boyband like SMASH, XO XI or Indonesian Girlband like Cheery Bell. So, music can be our spirit no matter what music it is. Music can also unite us not only with the people from our country but also with other people from around the world. Just relax with music K-Pop or other music.

THE FOLKTALE OF BANYUWANGI
EASTERN-MOST REGENCY EAST JAVA - INDONESIA

Once upon a time, there was a big kingdom located in East Java Province. This Kingdom was led by a fair and wise king. The king has a handsome son “Raden Banterang”. He is really like hunting. One day Raden Banterang said to his slave "This morning, I will hunt to the forest. Prepare a hunting tool for me". After all the hunting equipments were ready, Raden Banterang was accompanied by his servants went to the forest. When Raden Banterang was walking alone, he saw a deer crossing in front of him. He was then chasing the deer quickly and without being known he is in the middle of the forest. He separated from his servants.

Though he knew he got lost, he was still trying to find that deer. He was so curious to catch it, crossing the bush and trees in the middle of huge forest but still he couldn’t find the animal he wanted to catch. He felt tired and thirsty, luckily he found a river with its clear water. He drank the water slowly and washed his face till his thirst was gone. When he had finished drinking the water from the river, and wanted to move his feet, he was so surprised seeing a beautiful girl, “really she is so beautiful” he started talking in his mind.

“No way” “a beautiful girl? In the strange forest? “ “it couldn’t be, unbelievable”. Is she a gosh or an human being?” Slowly he ventured his self to get closer with the girl and askes “are you a girl or a forest gosh?” She smiled and said that she is an human being and her name is Surati from Klungkung Kingdom. She was there because she tried to escape herself from the enemy and his father had passed away when he tried to protect his kingdom. Raden Banterang felt sympathy with her life, he wanted to help and asked her to go with him back to his palace. Time flied and finally they got married.

One day, Princess Surati walked alone out of the palace and someone shouted to her “Surati! Surati!” a man with ragged and dirty cloth called her. She recognized him cause he is her brother “Rupaksa”. Rupaksa told her that Raden Banterang was the person who killed their father and he asked her to take a revenge. Surati told him that she has got married with Raden Banterang, she didn’t want to take a revenge to him. Since Surati didn’t want to help her brother to take a revenge to Raden Banterang, Rupaksa was so angry with her, but he gave her a red headband and he told her to keep it under her bed.

Raden Banterang didn’t know about her wife and her wife’s brother meeting since he was hunting in the forest. When he was in the middle of the forest, suddenly a man with ragged and dirty cloth came to him and said “My lord, Raden Banterang, your safety is being threatened and it was your wife the one who planned it. You can see the proof under her bed, there is a red headband. It belongs to the man who is ordered to kill you, my lord.” And then, after said that he disappeared directly.

Raden Banterang started to believe what the man said to him in the forest and he was back home and straight to his wife bed. He tried to find the red headband and he found it! He told to his wife “this is the proff, this red headband is a proof that you wanna betray me, you wanna kill me, how dare you! So this is your thankful to me?” Surati denied all the charge against her and she said “please believe me, I didn’t do that. I never wanna betray you my husband.” But Raden Banterang still didn’t believe her. He wanted to hurt her before she killed him.

Raden Banterang intended to drown his wife to a river. After arriving near the river, he told her about his meeting with a strange man in the forest. She told him that he is her brother who gave her the headband. Still Raden Banterang didn’t believe her . Then Surati said to him “my husband, please open your heart and mind, I will give my life and soul to protect your safety but give me a chance to tell you about the meeting between my brother and I.”

Surati said again “My brother is the one who wanna kill you. He ask my help but I refuse it.” Raden Banterang heard all the explanation but his heart wasn’t melt at all. He even thought that his wife was lie to him. Surati shouted to him “My husband, I’ll jump to this river, if the water is clear and has fragrant smell, it means I am not fault! But if the water is muddy and has putrid odor, it means I am fault!” Raden Banterang thought what his wife told him was just a lie, then he draw his kris and at the same time, Surati jump to the river.

Only several second after her jumped, the magic happened, fragrant smell spread around the river. Realized what was happening, Raden Banterang shouted “My wife is not fault! This river is aromatic! No!” How regret Raden Banterang was. He cried and so sad loosing his beloved wife and really regret how he could be so stupid, didn’t believe in her own wife. But it’s too late.

Since that time, the place where the river has fragrant smell called “Banyuwangi”. “Banyu” means “water” and “wangi” means “aromatic”. “Banyuwangi” then become the name of my hometown, a small city in East Java Island.

“HADRAH KUNTULAN” Kuntulan Tambourine, which is also called “Kundaran”, is one of the many art traditions that still survive till now on in Banyuwangi. The various journey changes that characterize Kuntulan showed its intelligence facing any changes. Kuntulan is influenced by Arabic work of art which has Islamic nuance.

Not only the dancing movement, the music and also the songs, but also the unique collaboration between Banyuwangi art tradition and desert art. Her presence also adds to the treasury and colors of traditional arts in the country. The collaboration with various social and cultural realities of Banyuwangi’s society bring this art into a distinctive dynamic and complex issues at once.

The designation of “Kuntul” means “egret”, as a symbol, according to Sutedjo HN, humanist from Banyuwangi, this is as a representation of the social lifestyle which more concern about togetherness among the human beings. It is inspired from egrets who are always calling their friends when they find some food.

Another peculiarity in the arts or kundaran tambourine “Kuntulan” is the rhythm that has a strong character, aggressive and jerky even when performing, the music player look as hand in hand to create a dynamic and full tone so natural that the spirit of rock music typical Banyuwangi even occasionally we have to close ears because it’s so loud and the Jidor players sometimes like a man possessed when playing. The song is not always Islamic songs, but also include folk songs and sometimes pop songs that are popular today.

The Achievement of Hadrah Kuntulan have scent Banyuwangi and East Java province. Recorded in the national art scene, Hadrah Kuntulan has been bacoming a winner in the National Festival at Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.

Gajah Oleng has so many meanings, some say “Oleng” is as big as an elephant (Gajah), Oling is an animal that is similar to an rice field eel but it have ears. Others say that, “Gajah Oleng” is a special weapon of Banyuwangi. Since Batik Banyuwangi is including one of coastal batik, so the motifs and the colors is like a freedom.

This “Gajah Oleng” batik motif, motivated by the heroism of Blambangan society who don’t want to be "colonized" so that the word "Sing" which is the name of the Banyuwangi original ethnic. “Osing” means they don’t want to be the same as Batik from Mataram or Bali, then bring out different batik motifs and colors.

Batik Gajah Oleng symbolizes something forces, which grew from the Banyuwangi community identity. Its meaning related to the character of a religious community. With the mention of Elephant eling, which means being aware of (considering) the creator's wisdom is a good way to live a life of Banyuwangi.

"GANDRUNG" RITUAL DANCE FROM BANYUWANGI

The Gandrung is a ritual dance that initially came into being to express devotion to the goddess of fertility and rice, Dewi Sri, in Indonesia. A beautiful, classical dance, it has evolved over time to become a sort of courtship dance that portrays a girl looking for a man. In Javanese, the word Gandrung stands for desperately in love or being infatuated. Thought to have originated in Banyuwangi in East Java, the dance is also popular in Lombok and Bali, where it is performed at social events, weddings, or to engage tourists.

While there are a number of dancers on the stage, the focus of attention is on a single dancer who is either an unmarried girl or a boy dressed up as one. Sometimes, transvestites also star as the main dancer, and there could also be more than one main dancer on the stage. Typically, the Gandrung starts are around 9:00 p.m. with dancers performing all night. Ending before dawn, the dance is on par with other dances like the tayub, ketuk tilu, and the lengger, which come from different parts of Java.

The main dancer is exotically dressed in a traditional costume, ornamental headgear, shawl, and a beautiful fan. The dancer uses this fan or the shawl enticingly during the dance to indicate interest in a member of the audience. He or she may either tap the person with the point of the fan if close by or throw the shawl to the person. The invited person usually dances together with the dancer.

The invited audience member may gift the dancer a little money to show appreciation. Considered the welcome dance of Banyuwangi, the city itself acquired the term the City of Gandrung. Its native people are the Osing, and the dance is thought to express their personality. The dance form portrays influences from Madura, Java, and Bali. The music has a Balinese flavor, while the dance moves can seem Javanese or Madurese from time to time.

Over the years, the Gandrung lost its ritual connection with the goddess Dewi Sri and is now sometimes performed as a courtship dance outdoors in certain parts of Lombok. Originally, the instruments musicians used were violins, gongs, drums, and kenong. Over time, they added others such as bonang, gamelan, xylophones, and terbang.

Musicians may also use other instruments, like angklung, saron, and gendangs. At times, a singer may also lend his or her voice to a Gandrung dance. The exotic music is quite vibrant and varies depending on the area where the dance is performed.

"Seblang" Dance of Life From Banyuwangi, Indonesia

The seblang is a trance dance performed once a year in two villages in the Banyuwangi area in East Java, Indonesia, which are home to the Oseng (also spelled Osing), a Javanese sub-group. These villages, located in the district (kecamatan) of Glagah, are Bakungan, where the ritual covers one day and is performed at night, and Olesari (also Ulihsari), where the activities go on for seven days during the day.

The ritual, in which either a pre-menarcheal girl or a post- menopausal woman - depending on the village - is put into a trance to be possessed by a spirit, is said by the inhabitants of the two villages to be the oldest and most potent ritual in the Banyuwangi area. In the course of the proceedings the villagers establish contact with both ancestral and tutelary spirits in order to promote the welfare of the community, keep the land fertile, and ensure the success of the next erop. The ritual is similar to trance and possession phenomena elsewhere in Indonesia, such as the sanghyang of Bali, the sintren of West Java , the sintring of Madura and the Nini Thowong performances that used to be found throughout Java. These performances all have a similar goal, namely promoting individual and community welfare, and use very similar personages and similar techniques for inducing trance, such as the inhalation of smoke, and music and dance.

Also, the tayuban dance, which formerly was very popular at Javanese village celebrations and in which trance was not a factor, was 'an integral part of village shrine ritual associated with annual bersih desa [the cleansing of the village] festivity', as well as with the associated veneration of the founder of the village The gandrung dance of Banyuwangi, closely related to the seblang, today serves a function similar to that of the tayuban in East Java. On a more individual level, those who go into a trance are thought to be able to foretell the future and to know the cures for diseases and the like. If the seblang dance were not to take place, the village would be sure to suffer; informants readily gave examples of trouble resulting from neglect of the seblang ritual.

In the two villages in which seblang is found today, the performances take place on the occasion of the annual bersih desa, during which the community is cleansed of the accumulated effects of discord, especially between people and the spirit world. Although nearly all the villagers profess allegiance to Islam, belief in the importance of maintaining proper relations with both tutelary and ancestral spirits remains strong. While the outcome of one's endeavours ultimately depends on God, the goodwill of these spirits is seen as essential to success, either directly or through their intercession with God. During bersih desa, therefore, God, and also the spirits and the ancestors, are thanked for the success of the past harvest and are asked to bless the coming agricultural cycle and the people generally.

In the past the time for these celebrations was around the beginning of the Javanese month Sura, which was the start of the new year. Now, however, they are adapted to the Islamic calendar, the celebration in Olehsari taking place a week after Idul Fitri, the end of the Islamic month of fasting (Ramadhan), and that in Bakungan around Idul Adha, the fifteenth of the month Haji, during which the pilgrimage (hajj) to Mecca is undertaken. This and other Muslim adjustments notwithstanding, the main aim of the performances is to strengthen relations between the villages and the spirit world.

The ritual description of 'a public rite performed for the benefit of the whole village or community', characteristic of 'tightly structured and relatively elaborate food-producing - usually agricultural societies'. It may not always have been this way. Between at least the late 17th and the 19th centuries, war and political turbulence so disturbed the social fabric of what had been the kingdom of Balambangan (in which Banyuwangi is located) that in 1780 its population had been reduced to about 9000 people. It is doubtful, therefore, whether one can speak of a 'tightly structured and relatively elaborate food.

In the late 19th century, a period when reliable data started becoming available, there were professional spirit dancers in the old Balambangan area who could be called upon in case of illness or when one needed to redeem a vow (nadar), and who thus fulfilled a role akin to the shamanistic one mentioned above. Such a figure probably also offered his services during the annual celebrations, at least in Bakungan, where this is said to have been a tradition since the foundation of the village. According to the villagers the area was a bakung {Crinium asiaticum) forest at the time of the founders' arrival. In the centre of this forest, where they wanted to build their village hall (balai desa), stood either a large nagasari (Mesua ferea) or banyan tree inhabited by numerous spirits. Because the tree had to be felled, these spirits had to be persuaded to move to avoid difficulties with them.

The spirits agreed on condition that each year a seblang performance would be held, during which one of them would possess the dancer. The tradition of sponsoring a seblang in fulfilment of a promise or to effect a cure seems to have died out now. The only occasions for its performance are the annual ceremonies in Bakungan and Olesari.

Korean drama (Korean: 한국드라마) refers to televised dramas, in a miniseries format, produced in the Korean language. Many of these dramas have become popular throughout Asia and have contributed to the general phenomenon of the Korean wave, known as "Hallyu", and also "Drama Fever" in some countries. Most popular Korean dramas have also become popular in other parts of the world such as Latin America, the Middle East, and elsewhere.

There are two main genres of Korean dramas, generally speaking. The first genre is similar to soap operas but without the never ending plot and frank sexual content. These dramas typically involve conflicts such as single and marital relationships, money bargaining, relationships between in-laws (usually between the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law), and often complicated love triangles while the female hero usually falls in love with the main character who may treat her badly since the beginning, instead of the one who always cares for her. These dramas last anywhere from 16 episodes to over 100 (most often not exceeding 200).

The other main genre is Korean historical dramas (also known as sa geuk), which are fictionalized dramatizations of Korean history. Korean historical dramas typically involve very complex story lines with elaborate costumes, sets and special effects. Martial arts, sword fighting and horsemanship are frequently a big component of Korean historical dramas as well. Korean dramas, whether the historical dramas or modern dramas, typically are characterized by excellent production quality, characters with depth, intelligent scriptwriting but largely relies on the use of archetypal characters.

Rolade Ayam Udang

Ingredients :

1 egg

4 shrimps and 1 ons minced checken

2 spoons water

1/4 spoon pepper powder

1/4 spoon Salt

Plastic or aluminium foil

Directions :

Whisk the egg, pepper powder, salt and water until frothy.
Fried the egg like when you make an omelet
Put it on the plastic or aluminium foil
Mix the chicken and shrimp lightly salt and pepper, then put it over an omelet
Roll up and roll the plastic tip
Steam it until cooked well
Chill it in refrigerator
Cut into pieces and it's ready to be eaten
You could also roll it over the flour and fry until it dried if you like it

Tahu Sausage and Cassava Leaves Rolade

Ingredients:
- 4 slices Tahu (Indonesian Tofu)

- Cassava leaves sufficiently boiled briefly and then drained
- beef / chicken sausage
- 1 egg
- Banana Leaves

Subtle seasoning:
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 seeds Pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp Sugar

Direction :

Blend out Tahu with Subtle seasoning
Spread of the banana leaf
Put tahu on the banana leaf
Put the cassava leaves on tahu then put tahu again
Lastly place the sausages
Roll out slowly while sealed in banana leaves, pinned on the right and left stick (like making rice cake).
Steam it for about 30 minutes.
Let it cold and then cut.
Dip the rolade in the egg which has been shaken and then fried until cooked well.
Put it on beautiful plate and serve.

Putu Ayu Cake Recipe Susan's Creation

Ingredients:

a small cup of wheat flour
½ small cup sugar
Coconut grated as you like
SP ovalet ½ tsp
Backing Powder ½ tsp
Vanilla taste
tsp salt
eggs
Food coloring

Direction :

Put the sugar, ovalet, backing powder, vanilla, salt and eggs in a basin, Mix it till fluffy.
Put the flour and grated coconut into dough no.1, add 2 drops of food coloring. (do not too much, it will be bitter). Stir it until well blended.
Grease the mold with cooking oil, then put the daough into the mold (not too full).
Steam about 10 minutes.
Move it in to a plate and serve.
